The newly minted French center of the San Antonio Spurs, Victor Vembanyama, shared his goals and expectations for his first season in the NBA.

"My goal is to make it to the playoffs. I don't feel any pressure, I will go through the stages that are an integral part of a basketball player's life. When you have such high goals, it's normal that you get so much attention and questions from caring people.

As for the future, it's best not to know what awaits us. It's very difficult to win an NBA title. But I am patient and I know that someday it will happen," Vembanyama said on the French channel Canal+.

Victor was drafted at number one in the last draft. The media and fans perceive the Frenchman as one of the most promising players in the history of the NBA.
