The National Hockey League press service has named the three stars of the past NHL game day, which featured two games.

Pittsburgh forwards Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby have been named the first stars of the NHL game day. In the game against Buffalo (6:5 OT), Malkin scored a goal and made three assists, reaching the 500-goal mark in the NHL. Crosby scored the winning goal and two assists, surpassing the 1,600-point mark in the league. The Canadian became the 10th player in NHL history to surpass the 1,600-point mark in his career.

Toronto forward Bobby McMann was named the second star of the day, scoring twice against Los Angeles (6:2). The third star of the game day was Anaheim forward Leo Karlsson, who scored the winning goal in overtime of the match against Utah (5:4 OT).
