Made an offensive statement

Former UFC heavyweight title challenger Derrick Lewis has made some offensive comments about former two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier.

"Years after our fight, I still think Cormier is a piece of shit. And I told him that to his face. I haven't seen him in a while, but my opinion of him hasn't changed, and he knows why.

I was pretty hard on him about retiring because he lost two fights in a row [to Stipe Miocic] and ran away. He took offense to my words and started acting unmanly. I'm going to see him this weekend and I want to ask, 'Hey, are you still mad at me?'" Lewis was quoted as saying by MMA Fighting.

Lewis will have his next fight on the night of November 2-3 in Edmonton, Canada, against Jonatha Diniz at UFC Fight Night 246.
