Training after Christmas

Como head coach Cesc Fabregas commented on the presence of former Tottenham player Dele Alli in the stands during the victorious match of the 16th round of Serie A against Roma (2:0).

"Dele Alli was in the stands? I met him yesterday, I don't want to talk about it today. He could have trained with us after Christmas, but only to get back into shape," journalist Gianluca Di Marzio quotes Fabregas as saying on his website.

Alli has not played in official matches for almost two years due to injury. Earlier, the midfielder said that he plans to take part in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Recall that Alli's last club was Everton. His contract with the club expired in the summer of 2024. The footballer also previously played for Besiktas and Tottenham. He also has 37 matches for the England national team, in which he scored three goals.
