Jrue Holiday took number four to Boston

Newly signed Boston Celtics point guard Jrue Holiday said his decision to take the No. 4 pick with his new club was influenced by two-time All-Star Isaiah Thomas.
“Jrue Holiday said he picked number four because of himself, his three siblings and Isaiah Thomas. Said he contacted him before making a choice,” columnist Gary Washburn wrote on his social media page.
Thomas played for Boston from 2015 to 2017.
Let's remember that the Celtics traded away experienced guard Holiday, closing the point guard position after parting with Marcus Smart. For the player, the Celts traded Malcolm Brogdon, Robert Williams, a 2024 first-round pick and a 2029 first-round pick.
